Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of anota, the online form building service available at anota.cloud (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

2. Your content and your respondents' data

You own the forms you build and the submissions you collect. We process that data solely to provide the Service and never sell it. You are the data controller for information you collect through your forms: you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it, for the questions you ask, and for honoring your respondents' privacy rights.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to collect passwords or payment card numbers, distribute malware, send spam, impersonate others, infringe intellectual property, harass, or collect data from children in violation of applicable law. We may suspend forms or accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.

4. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Plan limits (forms, submissions, storage, and views) are described on the pricing page. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next renewal. You can cancel at any time from your billing page, and annual plans are refundable pro-rata within the first 30 days.

5. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service available and your data safe, including daily backups. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may modify features with reasonable notice for material changes.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, anota's total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. After termination, we retain your data for 30 days so you can export it, then delete it.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

9. Trademarks and comparisons

anota may refer to other products by name for comparative and informational purposes. Competitor names and trademarks belong to their respective owners — for example, Jotform® is a trademark of Jotform Inc., which is not affiliated with anota and does not endorse this site. Price and feature comparisons we publish are based on publicly available information at the time of publication, are subject to change, and are provided for informational purposes only.
